Well it will be when we move in, plenty of scope to improve on the 2 single garages, mainly one double on the far side of the house. biggrin

Not necessarily. Depends on the area doesn't it. Where I live, £400k barely buys and ex-council semi but it would buy 5 beds and an acre north of Peterborough to use just one example.

Absolutely! I'd point out that I paid £134K for my house in 2009 (its in a small village in Northern Ireland).

The point of the thread isn't a 'willy waving' exercise, it struck me that the 'all creatures great and small' forum has threads with cat/dog pics, the foodie forum has pics of peoples' dinners but the 'homes gardens and DIY' forum didnt have pics of peoples' houses. That is all.

There are no moles in Northern Ireland as far as I'm aware, I've never seen a mole hill or a mole for that matter, strange but I ain't complaining! And believe me there are plenty of weeds, they've just been decapitated smile

The rather modest pile of bricks and mortar I call home looks a little like this (amateur attempt with Google Sketchup). The additional parking space at the front is an idea which hasn't materialised yet. In fact it won't now, as we're planning on moving and upsizing next year, all being well.

Amazingly from that picture I know exactly where you live! I grew up and spent about 25 years living about 50m from your house, my parents still live there now although I've moved a few miles away. Small world..!

I'll admit, you'll see more well kept council houses in NI than you tend to see in England.
Granted, there is the odd exception. smile
