Don't think they'll be selling many more of their "Doors/Guillotines", after last nights mauling !!!

Fair play to the guy to stand and take it, unlike the majority that leg it.
Icepop is talking about last week's BBC1 Watchdog programme's "Rogue Traders" item which is well worth a watch here (Series 37,episode 5 - available for about 3 weeks) -

I own a small, local, independent garage door company. The Kellys have been a thorn in the side of the legitimate garage door industry for some time, undercutting genuine specialists and their customers then needing assistance from us when the door fails and they can't get help from the supplying company.
We have been using a British manufacturer called SWR for roller doors for many years - their product is called "SeceuroGlide". (Note that the Kelly's first product was called the "Seguro" - passing off?)
We use Hormann or Garador (Hormann own Garador so pretty much one and the same) for sectional and up and over doors.

Hi

I used Essati and they were reliable and professional. However, the door is now broken. Phoning the number on the paperwork you get 'Roman Garage Doors' who are in the same premises which used to be Essati??? BUT! the extended warranty doesn't apply, Roman don't honour it and the insurance company have also apparently gone bust. Same premises, same phone number, same line of business but 'no connection' with Essati. Starts to look like a scam to me. anyone else in this boat?

OK everyone! now I am in the thread I can see that it is exactly what I thought. Why do people like the Kellys behave like this? so, robbed on a useless warranty! Be very careful out there!

Just had a Hormann door fitted. Should have been annoyed, but chose to be amused at the epic fail of the internal part of install. Being corrected.

NB: For good measure the wood battens were "no nailed" to walls also. Bit more fixing to do.

Thats proper shoddy.
My Essati has stood the test of time and I believe it was the care of the installers who did a very good job. Just goes to show the quality of the installer is also important.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but this seemed a good place to start.

The limit points on my garage door have got messed up after the door got caught closing on an object.
It now only opens half way, and left to its own devices will keep closing well past the point it is shut.
I can't work out how to alter these, and I'm geting nothing from Google that seems applicable to my model, which from what I can work out is Essati AEG. Any ideas?
