was this used in tv series 'Primeval'?
Yes, I mentioned it when I posted this house. It was the first Jason Flemyng episode with the invisible monkey.

whats a hydraulic wall:

A Victorian extension including a stained glass billiard room added to
the property during Baron Blyth’s ownership, along with an ingenious
hydraulic wall that separated the dining room from the music room
Most likely the ability to move the wall between dining room and music room to create a large ballroom. Guests eat, then men off to smoking room for cigars and brandy, women off to the parlour for tea and fainting, dining table moved out, wall moved and guests back for a little dance to finish off the night.

Who wants a fort... a fort in the middle of the Thames

Looks like it will need a £1million or so before being liveable
Worth it for the address.

I always wanted my own Island, even if it is in the Thames

I've always loved this island and spent a lot of my childhood around it - shame about the numerous moorings you have to share the island with - you have to share the access bridge with all the riff raff wink . Its also been on the market for over a year with no change in price... very optimistic!

edit to note it is now under offer... I'll be interested to see what it actually sells for smile

Intriguing! Gotta respect their level of commitment at least. I bet it would be a surprise seeing that on arrival if you didn't expect it.

I've love to see a floorplan.

What doesn't help it is that the photos are awful.

If someone showed me those pictures and told me it was a swingers club somewhere in mainland Europe I wouldn't be surprised. I imagine that's what they look like having never been.

So what is it? One grotty room with some wood laminate floor and a swimming pool? I can't make out much more.

Looking at street view it's a converted shop. Explains the ground and basement layout. It's also between £825 and £1.1m. LOL.

That's not a swimming pool, it's a home theatre!

I have some vague memory of the build being on a TV show, it was awful then.

Coming back from the tacky I have just found this, about 4 miles down the road from me and (internal decoration style notwithstanding) utterly lovely.
