Can't decide if I like this or not.

Nice neck of the woods and views. Nice space. Just not sure on the exterior.

Nice little cosy pad. 40 bedrooms anyone? That is a lot of property for £1.2 million...but the redecoration might be a bit pricey!

eek Bloody hell that's not dissimilar to the house in which I grew up in Ealing. No way is that a multi-million pound house !

Just off the centre of the village, on the road to the AE.

It'll sell. Semis and terraces half a mile closer to the town are 2 million all day long.

It's the sort of thing Indigo refresh and turn over all the time.

Fantastic - if only Scotland had better weather

(but then the prices would go up)

Even for Bolton this place seems cheap for its square footage.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Don't be fooled by the poor photos of the front elevation. The place is absolutely massive.

The problem? Numerous, large garden but at the front only, crammed in amongst other houses. UU water purifying plant directly behind (not the stinky stuff though) .

Originally for sale at £1.1m. Reduced to £1m then £950k, £880k, £750k and now £730k

Must've been for sale for two years. Pick it up and move 1/2 mile up the road on the west Pennine moors and it would command £2m and would've sold as soon as it came on the market.

A cool 32 million, but it's a nice house in a nice location.

I do love that although the UK has a damp, crappy climate, you southerners like to lord it over us because your damp crappy climate is very slightly better than our damp crappy climate wink

biggrin

I'll agree it's relative and I've had the occasional nice day in Scotland and Wales but when you look at the Met Office data the differences even in England are quite large.

What circa £2m buys you in Glasgow. The old Park Circus registry office.

I wonder how much work (if any) would be required to convert it into a house of appropriate standard. And whether there would be any issues getting permission for conversion into residential use (assuming it is not already).

It would be a real shame to see it cut into flats frown

It's impressive internally

Great for an office but not remotely homely

Holy moly! Loving that.

My current Swedish prawn of choice is this: http://www.residence.se/till-salu/objekt/?obj=OBJ2...

Loads of history there. The original building was destroyed by the Russians in 1719. Plus you'd get your very own mortar to fight off any potential invasion. Who needs a state of the art alarm system when you've got that bad boy tucked away under your pillow?

Less than an hour away from Stockholm and 35 acres right on the Baltic. POA but probably yours for around £1-2M.
