I like it too, but it does look like the set of a specialist gentleman's movie.

Outstanding views and location. That part of the coast is amazing.

Several school friends lived in Blackboys

The sign used to get changed regularly

"Blackboys
Please drive carefully"

Added to with
"Whiteboys drive how you want"

It was funny at the time!

That'll do me!
Pretty sure I posted that a few years ago and then got a load of repost abuse. I wonder why it isn't selling. I seem to recall it being cheaper too.

Or did it sell and now new owners selling for more?
To be fair, not many houses on here actaully sell.

Mrs Petrus and myself are currently in the Hamptons trying to purchase a little place, sadly she saw this though and her expectations have been slightly messed up...

We love the clean, rustic lines and attention to detail. She'll have to keep dreaming though as despite being good value for the area, it's still way off what we're looking at.

Jesus... that much and no land at all... don't get much for your buck there do you...

Did you get all her clothes shipped across in the end?

That's lovely, but $10M and last sold: Jun 2002 for $2,400,000. That's some price inflation.

We got them all across, quite impressive really as not a single lost. However, to think they're now going back the other way is annoying. I feel the price of this place is more linked to it's finish, but at the same time there's many wealthy people looking to buy in this area, and America is a big place. The place we're looking at is lovely, but in a financial different ball game.

Things bought between 2004-2007 seem to have lost substantially, as yet I don't know why (beyond obvious hyper inflation of the market and easy access to finance).

The Hamptons? One of my "neighbors" bought a place for $50M and knocked it down.

Daily Mail link

Neighbor being having a house on the left as I exit my neighborhood.

Some folk have just bought this with 70 acres on the far side of the loch (the plans look stunning). The access (track) is so bad they were considering using landing craft to get all the materials to site! (track upgrade to road eventually decided upon).

Bit of a view both ways smile
