About 5/6 years ago I was on the Dartmouth-Kingswear ferry and I saw this house on top of one of the many hills. I fell in love instantly and I have been obsessed ever since.
Fate seems to be drawing me towards it as a year or so later I looked for info on the internet and it was for sale. Fast forward to now, it pops into my head, I look for it and it's for sale!

All I need now is £3 million. Worth every penny for that view. Sublime. I will not hear a bad word against it other than it might be a bit breezy up there.
^^^ THAT, is a lovely looking place with fantastic views! smile

I'm not sure where gibbon got £2k/week from, as I've found another website that quotes it at £2100 - £3300 per week, with a substantial % nightly loading on 3 or 4 night stays.

I wonder how many weeks a year it gets booked for.
You maybe able to utilise the non booked time, and stay there yourself. To try and offest the cost

It appears on the website link, it is available for the majority of next year.
Maybe they held of bookings due to the sale?
But otherwise i would imagine it maybe doesnt get a lot of bookings other than the obvious holiday seasons?
Pure speculation obviously

just spotted this

Parking

"A large grassed area at the foot of the metal staircase allows safe parking for several cars."
best not book in rainy season lol

This is not dissimilar but looks like something you could actually live in:

I like that a lot.
My wife would love the wardrobes and would like that infinity pool, but those shower walls would be a bugger to keep clean. But overall, yes that is more like a home.
Yeah, it would eat me up inside wondering how the servants were getting on with those pesky shower walls hehe

Lovely old place in Kenilworth has just come up - seems pricey at £2.1m but it is a landmark property:

I guess the price is set to compete with this one, which needs a lot of work doing; but hasn't sold:

It's a bit forbidding because it's not been well maintained and does look a bit dark and spooky; change the colour of the window frames, though, and that would probably be enough to see the Arts & Crafts architecture properly. Lovely location too. Well overpriced still.

Many properties on here cost around £3,300 sq/ft.

That property is £3,300 per bedroom!

Wasn't it Groak that bought up houses like that in that part of the world and let them to DSS folks? Haven't seen him on here for ages...

This was posted a while back.
Garage aside, it was generally derided by the assembled masses on here. Unsurprising really...
