Not sure if this has been posted yet. Check out the garage hehe

This was posted a while back.
Garage aside, it was generally derided by the assembled masses on here. Unsurprising really...
Garage included IMO - just a blinged-up room stuffed full of Lambos, pretty soulless.

Directly opposite my friends house - which is similarly sized.

Kate Bush used to live on the same side as the house for sale - about ten doors down- my friend is a property developer and refurbished her old house for sale.

Wasn't it Groak that bought up houses like that in that part of the world and let them to DSS folks? Haven't seen him on here for ages...
I noticed a while back that he hasn't posted since some, err, "not ideal" stories in the papers about one of his businesses up in Glasgow. Shame, as his posts were always interesting.

one of those weird ones where the person living there looks like they can't afford it. Great building, garden etc, but furnished like a high-end student gaff.

Is there something wrong with it? Location, proximity to fast traffic, some sort of restrictive covenant as it seems like a really nice house for the money in London.

I know it's not Richmond or Hampstead but even so if it went for say 1.8m would that be a good buy?

I grew up not far from there and trust me there are some pretty nasty estates not far away, google ferrier estate south east London - 90% of all nicked cars ended up there from Bromley etc to start with - trust me there is always a reason when something seems cheap

I had a google and that Estate seems to have been demolished and was a good distance away as well. Still 2 million is still well out of my reach.

I live near the Ferrier Estate and as you say it was demolished some years ago, the site is now full of "luxury apartments" with a token bit of social housing thrown in to tick the box.

However, this place is in Eltham and there is plenty of trouble nearby, Eltham is unfortunately not a great place. It's a lot of house for the money but the location is a bit of a problem and if you are spending that kind of money on a family house you probably have high expectations of the area in which case Blackheath is a better bet.

I think it's reasonably priced for what it is.

Nice weekend cottage to buy from loose change if your accountant says you've got some but not real estate porn.

kidding me? Many of those rooms look like they've been dragged through Ikea. I'm not saying my house is anything like as nice, however for that kind of money i just don't think the owner could quite make the decor 'in keeping' with the lavishness of the building.

oh and i went to Leeds, twice, so believe me i know st student digs!!

A couple of the bedrooms do look like they've been let out to renters. Or maybe staff? But you don't buy the tat, you by the bricks and mortar.

I really like it. Lots of character and space. Nice garden and near all London has to offer, I grew up in a similar house and it makes me yearn for similar.

It's a lovely design but I can't help feeling a bit underwhelmed by the interior decoration.
