I don't dislike some of that part of the world, but it's just all a bit close to Runcorn and the chemical industry for my liking.

Where will it all end? I hate to point out the bleeding obvious, but 20% year on year growth in London is...unsustainable.

I love the way that the price is £64,999,950.

I imagine the conversation in the estate agents: "I know, let's put it up at £64,999,950 so that it looks a bargain compared to all the properties listed at £65 million"

And it's an apartment, not a flat, seriously when does a flat become an apartment. When the price tag reaches stupid?

It's funny isn't it, the way the terminology changes as you move up the scale.

This place looks pristine and the location speaks for itself but I just can't see £65 million of value here. It looks like a massive hotel suite. I guess that's what buyers want. I also imagine that nobody is going to be living there full time. It'll be bought as an investment or as a safe place to park the cash. At best it will be a bolt hole.

As others have already said, London house prices have become detached from intrinisic value and are now largely speculative. They used to be priced like blue chip stocks but now they are more like dot-coms.

Who knows what'll happen to it.

One things for sure, those apartments are proving extremely difficult to sell.

Agreed. when all the others have sold for their 'reasonable' price tag compared to this flat there will be a discrete price drop to £40MM and someone will be getting a 'bargain'

I've not been to that block but i'd imagine its like a morgue - doe anyone actually live in the higher floors?

Apparantly, the reason the aren't shifting is a lot of the highstreet lenders wont do mortgages for flats above shops.

The interior "design" is spectacularly hideous.
