Not quite so appealing when you see this - it's <150m from the A1 and a derelict coal mine. That's it under the 'utility company material present' label.

Although not currently active, there is still a PP in place for mineral extraction at the mine. The site has a, shall we say, colourful ownership history dating back many years, and is currently the subject of legal action by the planning authority regarding the unauthorised import and storage of modular buildings, static caravans, etc, which are increasing in number despite enforcement action. Basically, although screened by trees etc you'd have this over your back fence...

(pics from a 2013 Northumberland CC report)

To be fair the A1 isn't that busy right up there so it would be quiet at night, and you wouldn't really see the mine for the most part, but it's certainly a consideration. Good pub in the village up in the top right of the 1st pic though.

This one is sold, but I rather like it and may make them an offer they can't refuse when I win £140m on Tuesday.

I don't think they have the right London house, that photo is of 23 Belgrave Sq which is the Chancery and the Ambassador's Residence of the German Embassy

You can even see the barrier and sign across the door pointing people to the proper public entrance to the Embassy further down Chesham Place. May 2014

Perhaps the missus had a little input on the design as a trade off for him getting the garage he wanted...

I'd rather take the pad in Belgravia, but I thought that particular place was an embassy or ambassador house.

No way, that's gone on my wish list. Your very own viaduct, you could hold diving competitions for the brave!

It's the DM - lazy, inaccurate reporting as ever. They even think Peterborough is in Lincolnshire...

Is that yellow sub the one co-owned by one of the 'stars' of Brookside? They were on "3 in a Bed" tv show. All the qualities of a luxury B&B and breakfast consisted of taking their guests orders form the McDonalds menu then running to the restaurant the other side of the dock! hehe Perhaps it didn't take off as they hoped. smile
