would love to see more pictures of that!!
check the broucher at the bottom.
took me a few seconds to work out what you meant there smile thanks!

It still only has a couple of photos of the interior. Weird for such a large house that isn't obviously run-down. Lots of shots of the view!
hmmm wonder what the large chimney next to it belongs to?

factory?
Marine and freshwater biology unit, looking on a map.

Nah, the chimney will belong to the power station. The one that's right next to the oil refinery, just down the road.

Not the ideal neighbours for a £6.5M mansion, to be sure.

Yes please. That's the most realistic property I've seen on here that I would want to own.

Not entirely private either. The house with the arrow is not included in the sale

Been on the market ages, the recent floods wouldn't have helped.
One of those linked (now sold) was this one below at Sonning Eye, on an island in the Thames.

It has been bought by George Clooney for this new wife, and guess what they have had to spend another £80,000 on "unforseen" flood defences.

I've kayaked though the garden of that place during average winters let alone last winter. Bad choice given the options round there.

Closest thing to an instant bonfire I could imagine.

This is a lot of house for the asking price.

Very good room sizes and no neighbours

It's been on the market for ages and dropped a lot in price because it's in the middle of nowhere but close to the M1 and right behind it is the massive Whitsundoles Quarry & Landfill.

And because, let's be honest, it's fking hideous.

A nasty pastiche, unimaginative and derivative. It's probably a scrap dealer's wet-dream, but for a million-plus you should be able to do so much better.

It's quite a distance from the M1 from the map.

It was on the market previously but at a lower price, I assumed it sold and the new owners are now moving on.

As for the quarry, again, in the South East it's pretty isolated, good value I thought, surely it'd be four times that price in Esher ?

In fairness at that price you could demolish the front wall, plant a hedge, sort out the from garden with some lawns and paved drive, plant some trees, plant some climbers to mask off some of the brickwork and soften the house and it'd look an awful lot better. It's got a decent garage and workshops which appeals but it seems to be in the middle of nowhere.

570m away according to Google Earth. That's really not far, particularly when the motorway is running at the same height as the surrounding land.

Come on Tonker, corner tubs are great. They give you somewhere to sit while you shave your legs or so I'm told. hehe

So;

It's close to Milton Keynes which is a great city if you enjoy getting out in the fresh air, it also has one of the best shopping centres in the Uk.

Also within a mile of junction 14 of the M1 so London, Heathrow, Birmingham, Nottingham are all an hour away.

For that price, I contend its a hell of a house for the money but accept it's not for all.

And Euston's 45 mins away from MK Central.
