That's really nice. It must be near Updown Court which was the huge house the developer didn't seem able yo shift. I wonder what happened to that? This seems optimistically priced to.

Was Updown Court the one with a marble driveway? Or did I make that up in my head?

Look at map in satellite view.

Look south east just of the Chertsey Rd in the clearing in the north bit of Heathpark Wood.

From WIkipedia:

Finally, after over six years on the market, in October 2011, it was announced that the property had been sold for £35m by joint agents Knight Frank and Hamptons International to a purchaser, believed to be a foreign businessman, whose identity is unknown.[26]

the z4RRSchris99 country pad is now on the market, it hasnt hit the web proper yet as their original ad was rubbish, but got two viewings next week from London folk. I had thought we were looking at min 12 months to sell the place but nice to see some early interest.

Makes one wonder the price if it had decently proportioned height to the ceilings.

The house that fronted The Godfather?

Looks fairly ordinary to me, and quite a whack up from what the current owners paid, so hope they have splashed some real cash on the "English pub"! Still, be quite cool to come home to every day smile

Question, what's wrong with this place?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/periodproperty...

I know all about maintenance costs etc. But 64 bedrooms and 88 acres for 4.25 million?

Some catch surely?

Been in the hands of Catholic missionaries for 90 years, I suspect there is some work to be done. And location, location, location.

Meh

See far better cars out and about in Surrey. There is a palatial property in V Water where the owners seemingly leave their Phantom out in all weather despite having a garage bigger than most houses.

There are two houses in Virginia Water right next to each other on the A30 that usually have a nice selection of metal sitting outside whenever I drive past.
