The Stone Tower in Claverdon has a public footpath across the front garden. The image here was taken from the southeast and doesn't really show how extensive the house is

And you too can say you are a resident of the West Wing. West wing of Abbey Manor, Evesham - £1,295,000 - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Also comes with an Anti-zombie tower
AARRGGHH

That is superb, in a location that would suit me and an achievable budget, I really wish you hadn't shown it because I thought I was lucky to own what I have (which is far from finished)

I'll console myself that the upkeep could be ruinous and the neighbours might be awful.

I kind of like this. Plenty of garage space.
My Aunt & Uncle live next door to that in Avon Castle.

Certainly a lovely location by the Avon. I'd demolish it and build something else. Or can you recycle bits to other Huff-Hoose house owners? hehe

With all the glass walls I just think they are houses for exhibitionists.

during the day you can't see in, at night you close the blinds.

All that light would be lovely.

Ah ok, I can't see that chap's messy desk and leather chair or the exercise cycle on the first floor.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it would be ok for a weekend stay but as a home, not for me.

Scrolling down, I thought that pic showed it mid-build at first. Huf Hauses became quite popular after featuring on Grand Designs, IIRC, but they're not really any cheaper than a conventional build; just quick to erect. And now the emperor's new clothes have been shown (through the extensive glazing) to be missing, I'm not sure they'll stay in demand.

Are they not just an up to date 'beam and post' system?

Yes, that's all they really are. I used to love Huff houses, and I guess I still have a bit of a 'thing' for them, but they don't really do it enough for me anymore that I'd want one.
