Indeed, I couldn't imagine spending over a million pounds for a house in Chingford. That road is stunning though.
Quite, interestingly since the day I moved out, house price increases % wise have out performed pretty much the rest of the entire country! laugh

Looks like something from the Big Brother series...

That's probably the worst value house I've seen on here.

Incredible that £25M gets you nothing special whatsoever.

Now I like that, the brochure gives a good impression of the finished artical. Can anyone estimate the build costs on that if you were looking at a very high spec?

They should have had more photos of the workshop and outbuildings and less of the house, they're probably its biggest selling point.

That's in desperate need of full modernisation.

agree - that is what drew me in, stone work looks very good, and the diminishing courses of the roof are a really nice feature. The rear elevation is nicer than the front, however that is only a minor point.

unless the blurb is wrong, it says gas hob, yet the property is ran on oil.

would like to be there on a winters night with the four fires roaring away.

This one is very close to Gleneagles, they seem to reckon it cost over 8million to build it

Maybe just the central heating is oil, the electricity and water is mains and the gas is calor bottle? I know people who will never want to use anything other than gas for a hob or oven.

It's an unclear floor plan, but I think it says circa 14000 sq/ft. That's including the plant room and garage. Say 12500 sq'ft of proper build.

That comes in at around £640 a sq/ft which is a very very high build cost. It can't have cost that much!

'"Bank of Scotland hold standard security over that property. They are owed £7million approximately. In terms of the valuation report by Savills, the property has a value of £3.25million.'
