That interior is a bit, um, bling.

I can't help thinking the got the market wrong. This is a London house in the country. Anyone buying the country lifestyle will want something more classical / restrained for the interior, I'd have thought. However, they know their buyers better than me.

I've shot on the Windlesham Estate before. It's a remarkable place - only a hop skip and jump from the M25 but proper, beautiful countryside. I hope they haven't ruined the environment.
The interior is very typical of those sort of house being built in the area; Windlesham, Wentworth etc.

Looks like it's got a good plot there; some are very poorly sized for the sqft of house.
Completely agree. My house is only 4000sqft. Sadly, over the years it has had its plot chopped so it only has just over half an acre left. Even that feels a bit too small. You see new builds of 6000sqft plus (I think someone on here made one 15,000sqft) on similar sized plots and it is just silly.

if you're paying for the tarn plus a thin strip of land around the edge, i'd presume it's something to do with what the water can be used for e.g. water supply for local factory as it says, or maybe water boards... or fishing...
this was just on countryfile. National Park Authority selling off a number of bits of the Lake District NP because of budget cuts. Sounds quite sad really.

Dear lord, how does one cope on such a confined plot? One must be suffering from claustrophobia? Still, I suppose one could look on the bright side, one doesn't require the services of a gardener.

It's amazing how many agents still do their photos using untrained staff and an iPhone. As a vendor, I would not instruct an agent that couldn't produce good photos.

The house we bought last year had terrible photos on rightmove, so bad we almost didn't view it. That probably helped us secure a really good deal as I imagine it dented the interest in the house significantly.

The agents that sold our old house were great, sent a lady round with all the gear and did proper professional photos. Almost too good actually, made our pokey garden look like Richmond Park!

I noticed this on rightmove last week, firstly how do you use the loo comfortably and secondly why would the agent take a photo of it.

It's a bit of a doer-upper.

What, 2 mil to do?

It'd be stunning but you would require testicularlly huge deep pockets.

No squatters, all the work being carried out is by the current owners and local volunteers trying to save it from ruin - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v3g3z1hUEE

Surely that's just the foreshortening effect of using a telephoto lens?
