Surely that's just the foreshortening effect of using a telephoto lens?
Maybe, if it was a telephoto lens. The tiles suggest it's very close.

Very nice indeed. I'd want to be further away from the neighbours for £10m though, I thought it was a semi they're that close!
Indeed, I hadn't noticed that but as you say, the two properties are almost touching. Mind you, I guess 42 acres and 1 1/2 miles of river frontage makes up for it to a degree wink

It's a bloody council estate!smile

Nice little mews house in Mayfair, a snip at just over £42 million:

This is genuinely stunning. I'm not sure how it compares price wise to other properties in the area, but 2 acres on Lake Windermere isn't to be sniffed at...

can't believe it was only built in 2002... thought the interior was from the 80s at least!. That being said I'd have that in a shot!

No garden, a confusing jumble of an interior, and leasehold. Otherwise a bargain.

Shame about the A road between you and the lake. You'll have a procession of caravans going past for 6 months of the year.

It's on the correct side of the road, the marker on the map is not the house.

You're right. But for 4.75 million, I wouldn't want a main road just a few feet from my house.

So it's another beautiful bottomless pit.

And in the middle of a somewhat downmarket estate.

Still gorgeous.

So do Swedish estate agents employ real photographers? Their pictures all seem so much better than those you see of British property.

Only problem with old wood houses like that is they creak and groan when the wind blows.

I think so, but in reality I reckon most photos of normal, run of the mill properties are shot by trained baboons armed with HDR cameras. Can't go too wrong with a good enough camera.

Here is a great apartment for those wishing to perv on Japanese tourists or watch the king get his groove on (whatever takes your fancy): http://www.bjurfors.se/sv/tillsalu/stockholm/ekero...
