Always had a massive soft spot for San Francisco and the Belvedere.

So when I win the Euromillions this will be my first purchase: http://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180...

Put a Pagoda on the drive and my version of California dreamin' would be complete.
Not if I get there first!

I don't know if that's an example of it or not, but some glass can be rendered opaque immediately at the flick of a switch.

I'd want it soundproofed as well.

Funny you mention curry, seemed that every hotel we stayed in in India a few years back had this kind of arrangement. Not ideal IMO

Toilets are an alien concept to them anyway. The government has only recently been spending millions installing public ones to stop the people crapping in the street.

Been browsing this.

Currently configured as several houses and flats, garaging, basements and various workshops. Set in 125 acres.

1.75M.

Thing is, it's only the gate lodge. Also included is the main house.

It has been owned by the council for decades, is shagged, and will be an absolutely epic money pit.

I have been in this house (ground floor only), its finished is top notch, the location is perfect!! Its amazing!!

I've been in a lot of 'nice' houses, this is by far the nicest!!
That pool pavilion is lovely and the house is fantastic as well. The whole thing is fantastic without being ridiculous.
Personally I think the pavilion looks dreadful, blocks the view, and I'd pull it down. The rest is fabulous though.
