£1.15 million to live near sheffield... not for me.

Too far from London to commute.
and it looks like it's overlooked by a bunch of flats

A bit more upmarket, Jeff Gordons old apartment near central park http://www.businessinsider.com/jeff-gordon-lists-3...

IIRC he's made a nice little pile out of that place.
Now that is nice.

absolutely no contest for me - don't like London, never have. Added bonus of the extra cash in your pocket (to be fair as an investment the London one is better but I just couldn't live like that!

Welcome to london living.

Beautiful house though.
yes very nice.

Seems quite reasonably priced considering where it is and what Islington currently is - centre of the trendy universe.

Some of the interiors are a bit... odd. The dining room in particular is not to my taste or the bedroom with the weird spiral staircase to nowhere. Still £30-£50k to rip that lot out, get it redecorated, convert the stables to garaging and it could be nice.

"I couldn't help but notice, but I am considerable richer than yo"

I mean who owns a Versace duvet cover
may I present exhibit #1?

Hideous. Low ceilings made worse because they are lined with floorboards - what was the (junior) architect smoking back in the 60s laugh

What's the score with the Garden? Is that someone else's property looking in on this place? Because if it is you can keep it... be like living in a fish bowl.

Four and a half million to live in an old terrace like that and it's so small they had to put the kitchen in a lean-to in the back yard! eek

It's Islington, crazy money around there. I've got a mate who bought a place on Essex Road that would be half the price anywhere else in London. I don't understand the love for it, you just get a load of pissed people from Essex and Hertfordshire hanging around there at the weekends.
