That one is 11 years old though.
Indeed. A lot of the usual PH rubbish.

The one shown hasn't sold and will go way higher than £1000 and as for free on collection...........Dream on.

Christ... I thought my version of fridge porn was expensive with wanting a few of these.

http://www.johnlewis.com/fisher-paykel-rb90s64mkiw...

But that kicked it up a gear

http://www.johnlewis.com/sub-zero-icbbi42sd-s-th-i...
I knew they were expensive, but Jeeeeeeeeeezus!!!!! What does it do different to a normally priced fridge freezer?
It gives you the warm glow of superiority.
When I built my house I put in a Gaggenau fridge/freezer. I thought that was expensive, but jeezus indeed!!!!

Only reporting something I remember seeing here. Take it up with the posters:

Thanks for the link and i don't want to shoot the messenger but nowhere on there is there any reference to people picking up sub zero fridges for pennies.

They are high level fridges and they simply do not sell if working for pennies, nor are they given away free on collection.

There is no evidence of that at all.

Thanks

An ex display unit is quoted as selling for £400.

I would, relatively speaking, regard that as 'pennies'.

And how would you describe the room in picture 16? At first glance I thought it was a bar, but there's a writing table in there too. Then I spotted the toilet and bath at the far end!

1st floor, blue section on RHS of the house, just a long bathroom for master suite.

I know labour and raw materials were cheap back in those days and that these houses were precursors to today's mixed use developments (residential, office and commercial in one) but it's still staggering that people built them so big and so grand. Even back then the running costs must have been eye watering!

House needs work but due to the land and location this is pure prawn to me. Sadly, I'm a mill or so short.

Widest frontage of any house in the country I believe.

Used to be leased by Sheffield Polytechnic and a base for their Sports Studies courses among others.
had halls of residences, sports hall and a swimming pool in the grounds.

Used to play hockey on the grass pitches which were located about where that photo was taken from. Went for post match drinks in the biggest bar/dining hall I have ever seen.

Opposing teams were quite impressed :-)

Reminds me of a larger/wider version of Stoke Park.

If I had oodles of money i'd buy Stoke Park and have it as a private golf course for me and all the other powerfully built company directors who want to be my friend.

The '60s buildings are still there, think the police do dog training there.

You also get another house - stuck on the back is the older English Baroque one:

Yet completely fked 250,000 sq ft thanks to Labour and Manny Shinwell.

He had an envy grudge against the people living there, so dug 6/7 deep mines right up to the door step of the great house and as such the subsidence in the house is unbelievable.

The family have since won the suing of the coal authority and the appeal and the final date on the proceedings is 2016 for £100 million in compensation.

However that does not help the house at the moment.

All thanks to a fking idiot with the whole contents of the mccain's factories on his shoulder.

There's an irony that the Fitzwilliams were held in very high regard by their (miner) employees.
