In itself no, but I you've owned an Aga you'll know that having plenty of surfaces adjacent is a good plan.

Also, look how the kitchen is laid out. It looks like there may be a staircase rising from the middle of it, which is possibly why the Aga installation is so poor. A kitchen that "works" is very important.
Are we looking at the same house?

May have some potential

Then you could start a renovation thread

That is stunning - or rather would be! Just too far away for me - according to AA Route Planner 1012.2 miles, 38hr 14 mins!

Very Father Ted.

If it sells close to the asking price, it looks like it'll set a record for property prices on Yell: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detail.htm...

Doesn't bode well for the value once renovated.

The Hall Place Estate, Penshurst, Kent - £8,000,000 with 277.38 acres.

That place is just down the road from me, regularly run past on the other side of the lake - house is absolutely stunning. If only the euromillions had come good.

No staircase, that's a larder(l) and scullery(r) behind the Aga.

Kitchen through the door on the left.

Okay, but if you're cooking on that Aga you still need more surfaces adjacent.

This was in the Sunday Times last week, it's the gaudiest display of LED's you'll find outside an XF's front bumper, with more gold than Gulzar, with a godawful layout, but the glass-sided garage is too PH to miss. I cannot wait for tonker's comments. Chigwell, £1.6m, says it all...

Some of that is very nice.... I love the stair case and the walk in closet.....

The biggest flaw here, some of the rooms look cramped! The other bedrooms, study, dining area and to a certain extent the living room too.

Also, I am not entirely convinced on the open bathroom!

The master bedroom is in the basement, with no windows, just a light well.
