It's beautifully done and in a lovely location, I wonder why they are selling?

Well, Uley is by no means the "heart" of the Cotswolds. But that's the DM for you.

While it's great to have a pop at the Daily Mail, where would you say the heart of the Cotswolds is? Either way it looks like a beautiful rolling landscape to me.

Proper what? expensive?

It's nice but I can't see £22M there but that the same for most of the property in London.

I'd buy somewhere nice not in London and commute by helicopter for that money.

With a 5% deposit and at 5% interest on a 25 year mortgage, the monthly payment on that place is £123,575.52! As the kids these days would say, WTF!?

Every time I see this place, I hope my lottery numbers come up - surf and somewhere to walk the dogs right outside the door and has the bonus of being at the quiet end of the beach.

It's by an artist called Harland Miller. It's meant to be the front of a "Penguin" book. You can make out the penguin at the bottom.

Some nice Andy Warhols and Damien Hirsts I can see as well. Probably just been "dressed" to sell.

Jeez, originally up for £15m, dropped to £10m................now £3m !!!!

They really want to get away from the SNP.
£20m building it. It's astonishing.
I'm not sure I've seen a better way of spending circa £3million. Astonishing doesn't seem a suitable superlative. I cannot imagine what would prompt taking a bath of around £17million on the outlay but aside from that massive caveat it is a fantastic property in a stunning location.

It's taken until Volume 2 for me to say 'this is the one' but regrettably I still don't have the funds...

If only it could be transported to the Cotswolds. Many will disagree, but I don't think anything in Scotland, Wales or Ireland (or non-commutable/sensible weekend driving distance in UK) really belongs in this thread.
I've seen some great houses on this thread why on earth would you want to limit it to England ?

Agreed. One of my top criteria is being as far as possible from large conurbations.
