Nice, but for that money I wouldn't want to be sharing that peninsula with 3 other houses, and the private beach appears to be a bit of shingle behind some jagged rocks (not sure at what state of the tide they would be covered) and not the adjoining Colona beach.
I read it differently.....

Steps lead down to a sheltered cove that has a private concrete slipway and a stone clad boat house with power and water supplies. In the south east corner of the 9 acre field there is direct access onto the sandy beach which is owned by the property down to mean high water. There is a second boat house and a slipway.

I saw that advertised in Classic Car this month. I think it's just about perfect and I'd snap it up instantly if I had the folding.

A racing car on the ceiling of your cinema room is, I have to say EPIC! In the extreme. I love that.

The Marazion property is not for sale currently I think, I dug the details out from Zoopla history!

But I think he would sell if offered the cash!

I know, but if you look at the Knight Frank brochure there is a plan that makes it all clear. The usable boat house and slipway is at the opposite end of the public Colonna Beach (so not v.secure) from the private bit of sand/shingle (as described on the plan). The "stone" boathouse looks like a rendered concrete garage to me, which leads to a concrete slipway and a narrow inlet between rocks, which would be fine for a small boat made of thick wood planks, polypropylene or aluminium, but risky for anything inflatable or made of grp or ply. There are still 3 other houses within close proximity, including one closer to the sea than you, whose drive borders the western end of your garden, so - v.nice, but not quite the secluded idyll the write-up on Rightmove suggests and, to my mind, at least £1m too expensive. If you could clear the other riff-raff off that peninsula, it would be amazing.

Aside from looking at nice properties this thread highlights how long some of these properties remain unsold. I think this was on here a couple of years ago.

I agree with the majority of things you post Tonker, and your geographical knowledge seems pretty diverse, but if you are referring to the Wetherby place I must disagree. As a Southerner who is now a Yorkshire interloper I have been staggered by just how much money (old and new) there is sloshing about, particularly in that golden triangle region.

To me, that is an incredibly cool place, however about 400 miles too far up t'north! If it were on the Helford.......!

All fair points - and even without a need to use the commuter line for those who clearly are not in an office based job, anywhere beyond Guiseley on the Ilkley line seems to have a massive draw/premium.

Looks like it's currently a gypsy's house.

Other than the dining room furniture it's empty so I wouldn't say there's anything remotely Romany about that - oh hang on, there's a caravan outside. Of course, bloody 3.141keys, get everywhere!
