Wrong part of the country, but that's one of the few houses on this thread that I can actually imagine living in.

It would double my commute, to about 21 miles and probably around an hour each way. (Cycling.)

York House is understood to have been built during the 1890’s and is a spacious and elegant house of local Beer stone with stone mullioned and transformed windows with drip moulds beneath the slate roof

No wonder it is so appealing. wink

That place was once in my family. My Nan and Grandad owned that many years ago - sold up when they built a bungulow in Beer.

It reminds me of the place at the end of Spooks! (or was it the end of the penultimate series?).

That's vast! I'd need an intercom to speak with my wife in that master bedroom!

My wife would have to call my mobile as I'd be out on the golf course.

You're not allowed mobiles on the course at the better clubs.

Would that need a full time gardener?

I guess it could use it but I'd have thought 2 day a week would be fine if the owner also took an interest.

Posted one similar a while back but I do love a refurbed Edinburgh city centre Georgian townhouse.

No garage or parking but who cares.

Love the bathroom!

I like Edinburgh town houses but hate what they have done to that,

Changing the subject though, what did the residents do for stabling when the house was new?
