A little too chintzy inside, but really like that.

Good garage to house ratio.
That's better. What property does your post relate to?

Link would have helped in the first instance.

Can't copy and upload pics here, so you'll have to look through them on RM.

Lovely, but would be a lot lovelier if was out of earshot of the A1(M).

Likewise that Essex property (too) near Woodham Ferrers - needs a good burglar alarm that one.

Could you buy this, just because of the garage? redface

Were the bathrooms designed in Minecraft?

As cool as the scissor lift is, they could have put a ramp in.

Asymmetric front door would drive me spare. Awful.
I quite like that.

The house is a great big pastiche though.

I did like the underground car park, but then spotted the scissor lift, which presumably provides access.
You'd just have to have the Thunderbirds music blaring when using that, wouldn't you....? hehe
Yes, something to dance to whilst waiting for one's car to reach ground level. It would annoy me not having an access ramp.

I wonder what will happen to this. It really looks fantastic as you drive by, one of the most impressive houses in terms of kerb appeal.

At the price it seems to offer value in the area. Really hope it isn't demolished and 4 or more McMansions aren't put there though I guess that might be likely.

My latest offering.

Who would live in a house like this?

Going by the 2015 Streetview there's a Sotheby's sign outside that says "Sold" so I wonder if someone put a conditional offer in to do that, but couldn't get permission so it's back on the market.

That would be a shame, there's an even more impressive one next door, better symmetry.

I've always admired them but they really are too big for modern needs, they look almost as if they should be care homes or perhaps a training centre but I think market forces will put 4 identikit Octagon specials there.

The sums certainly add up. £3 million to buy. £4 or £5 million to demolish and build, £14 million to sell. Could all be done in a year or less.

Looks like a typical blank canvas "developers" finished project with some hired furniture.

Yup. Has all the cliches, right down to the fire with stones in it. Depressing. Looks like a decent gaff from the outside.
