Back on planet earth the coaching house at the end of the drive looks nice.
Sarrat is lovely and close to London. That feels like value.

Sarrat always reminds me of the "nursery" in Le Carre's Smiley novels.

I used to live near there by the DLR station. Unless it has changed, I wouldn't want to be walking back to my boat at night around there...

Quite liked the look of this (though my wife thinks too big for just the two of us):

9 bedrooms, 5 receptions, 5 bathrooms, 25 acres, walled garden, all weather tennis court.

Steading with PP for conversion with 5 acres

Both together OIEO 1.8m or just the main house for OIEO 1.5m. House in the middle of its own land, steading far enough away not to be a big issue if you didn't take it.

Although it's in Scotland it does catch the eye but it never ceases to amaze me that estate agents expect sell properties at around the £2.0 mill mark and attach such crap floor plans. From what I can see they've not even bothered to provide one for the steading which I assume is what I'd call the coach house. It could make fine motor house but there's no way of knowing without a plan.

You make a fair point - not up to the standard I would expect from one of the big agents.

Plans are accessible from the Perth & Kinross planning portal. http://planningapps.pkc.gov.uk/online-applications...
What they are planning doesn't look too bad (current and planned floorplans) and at least retains the garaging: http://planningapps.pkc.gov.uk/online-applications...

OTM listing has detailed floorplans including the steading.

Was posted on here last year, or the year before. Same owner peering down from above the fireplace like a middle east dictator.

Agreed and the piano looks rubbish but I'd be happy swimming in the wooden cathedral though.

Portrait above the fireplace, same one in a small frame on the side table.

Is it a cult?

Don't think it's been given on an previous listings. Just guesses, between £3.2m and £3.6m going on position on rightmove listings.

That is absolutely gopping.
If I were in the £1million + market I wouldn't consider that for a second.
It couldn't have any less character if it tried. In fact, I think it has minus character.
The painting on one of the walls says it all about the type of buyer.
