Possibly because it's horrible?

I'd be wondering where all the dead teenage hookers have been buried. Fed to the llamas?

I think I know the real reason, and also the reason it's for sale in the first place.

I wonder if the architect took inspiration from Golder's Green Crematorium? There's definitely a hint of shared design cues and overall 'feel'.

Crematorium:

Luxury family home:
The Crematorium is Romanesque, the house is Roamingallovertheplace

I shan't speculate as none of my business.. The house has seen some cracking parties from what I understand so Harry flashmans comment amused me.

ALso... what's going in behind the TV in pic 5 in this link?
My wife's uncles house has been for sale for years and is significantly less, and is significantly nicer.

Can someone tell me what's going on in picture 29 here? It looks like some home shoe-shine set-up but that would be weird (maybe not given some of the odd things people build) but what is it? confused

Here is a genuine question.

The Loughborough house, the first one that seems to be on at £3,5 million.

With the exception of prime London and parts of the South East that amount will buy you an INCREDIBLE house, either a WAG type Mcmansionm, character country pile or perhaps almost a stately home.

How many people actually have that much to spend and want to spend it in Leics?

So why would someone buy that?

Unless it's sold to an acquaintance with equally horrific taste if such a person exists I cant see it shifting at half the price.

Estate Agents and property gurus of PH, realistically what will happen to it?

Same architect? Or studied at the same Travelodge?

Whilst that is very 'not me', and the fittings are ghastly, it is nice to see some new builds that at least try to be a bit more original than the typical mcmansion.

I doubt it will feature in architecture text books, but it is at least the product of a vaguely free-thinking mind.

Why not just make it symmetrical and be done with? Looks like that octagonal part on the left was meant to be a tower, would have had spectacular views!
Doesn't look like much use of the rear garden. Where you would expect to see large doors opening out on to it, there is just the brick wall.

I like the asymmetrical design. With the main living space on the first floor the lounge and dining room open onto a balcony with, one assumes, views of the garden.

Neon lit Range Rovers in a £2 million northern property?

I respectfully defer to my learned colleague Mr T.Onker on this matter...
