Loving this:

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Photo 13 really does it for me. If only I had a bit (alot) more money and it was a bit closer to, well, civilisation.....

14,000 sq ft, 18 acres, a Bronze Age Motte and Bailey castle and an amphitheatre.

Few more photos in the virtual tour.

Really liking this:

Even has its own website with more images:
http://gloucesterlivery.co.uk/Gloucester_Livery/Ho... Unfortunately not in my budget.
I like that smile They wanted a million quid 3 months ago.
What am I missing - it seems too cheap.
Doesn't appear to have much land and is way too close the M5. 'tis nice though.. https://goo.gl/maps/PD7d2qTyJPx
Well it's got it's own woodland so it can't be that small and anyway the garage is epic!

http://gloucesterlivery.co.uk/Gloucester_Livery/Ga...
Ok, thats pretty nice!
Location is crap - soon to be worse, yet the details sell a rural idyll.

As it stands its on a lane with a garage/travelodge/starbucks/subway one end and the M5 the other way.

There has been a long running bid to build a huge incinerator nearby....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershi...

Local entrepreneur/hippy has plans for £100m Eco Ind. Est on adjoining land:

http://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co.uk/news/1402371..._100million____Eco_Park__near_Stroud_heats_up_as_pros_and_cons_prepare_to_face_scrutiny/

All surrounding land will be swallowed up with housing thereafter.

Buyer beware! I wouldn't buy at half that price.

+1. Big enough to feel like you're living somewhere special, but not so big it can't fee homely.

How sad that the interior lacks any style or charm, such is modern taste (or lack of it) I guess. frown

Whilst I agree that the entrance looks like the Linton Travel Tavern the rest of it is actually OK in a "not to my taste but its not nasty" kind of way
Countryside looks lovely too
They're ripping the piss calling it Thorntonhall, it's closer to Busby.

Mind you saying Busby would knock a million off the price...

Amazing location and views but it looks like a serviced apartment building rather than a home.

Nuclear bunker anyone? - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-3546...

So as Russia is rattling it's military sabre, the Middle East is going to hell in a handcart, a new virus appearing every year that'll "kill thousands" the politicians in Northern Ireland so out of touch with reality think now is a good time to sell off their one and only Nuclear bomb proof bunker.

It is a pity. The plot is amazing. The house just looks a bit dull. They could have built something stunning.

I would guess an architect could revamp the shell - different windows could transform it.
