What is it? Looks like a house with a bungalow built in front!

Time for some Swedish prawn! In order of ascending price:

1. Nice little country house approximately 1.5 hours away from Stockholm. Very nice, though in need of a bit of renovation: http://www.wrede.se/objekt/208105?qt-item_tabs=1#q... (£880k)

2. 14th century castle in the very south of the country, only a stone's throw away to the bridge to Denmark and the rest of the continent (top tip: 'planlösning' means floor plan): http://www.wrede.se/objekt/208923?qt-item_tabs=1#q... (£1.4M)

3. Your own, personal little archipelago: http://tillsalu.sjonara.se/images.aspx?GUID=4273O7... (£2.5M)

4. Mansion with a view... of Denmark, though unfortunately a bit light on photos: http://valvet.capitex.se/bilder.aspx?TYP=CMVilla&a... (£2.5M)

5. Yet another mansion with a view, only this time of the Baltic, and only a 10 minute train journey away from the centre of Stockholm. Includes two berths right across the road for aquatic adventures, but really a place like this needs its own access to the sea. But on the other hand it's got a 4-car double-decker garage and awesome cellars: http://www.wrede.se/objekt/394691?qt-item_tabs=1#q... (£3.8M)

6. Proper stately home fit for a king. Currently used as some kind of an events venue, but who cares... look at it! http://www.esny.se/sv/object/images/--315195 (£4.9M)

7. A depressing concoction of a 60's bunker given some... flair. There's an old Swedish saying that goes something like 'styling a Volvo is like applying make-up to a pig'. This is a Volvo, albeit in a kick-ass location, but it's just wrong none the less. It does have a secret passage from the study to the wine cellar though (which seems to have been converted into a bedroom...): http://hemnet.sfd.se/BildLista/Default.aspx?objgid... (£5.5M)

And finally, a bonus house! Belonging to hockey legend Börje Salming, this new-build isn't really to my taste but it does tick quite a few boxes: http://hemnet.sfd.se/BildLista/Default.aspx?objgid... (£2.5M)

EDIT: A few more!

8. I remember this was on the market a good 5-6 years ago for something in the region of £5M. It's obviously since been completely renovated, and considering the boom in property prices since I shudder to think what the owners want for it. This place in particular is pretty much situated in a national park, right on the door step of the city centre (Stockholm that is). You could probably count the amount of residents in the general vicinity on your fingers and toes. Crazy exclusive, and with historical connections to boot: http://www.residence.se/till-salu/objekt/?obj=OBJ2... (£POA)

9. An English country house on the west coast of Sweden. Once the home of an industrial magnate (founder of SKF), it's pretty sweet: http://www.residence.se/till-salu/objekt/?obj=OBJ2... (£POA)

Yet another stately/country house turned events venue. Seems like the last 100 years or so of socialism hasn't been very kind to... well, you know, das Kapital. It's currently under offer so hopefully it'll return to its original purpose. Anyway, I digress: http://www.skeppsholmen.se/sv/object/images/s-3354... (£1.4M)

This particular house is located on a large island in the Stockholm archipelago that's connected to the mainland via a 2-mile long tunnel running some 70 metres below the sea level. Why tunnel, I hear you ask. Well, because:

That's rather lovely. Good spot.

Seems reasonably priced for the location too.

This house has some unusual details.. I wonder what section of the population would own a house like this?

What the hell?

It's like Frodo, Scarface, Buddha, a pie key and the Queen had a gangbang and the result is this hell-spawn.

That is pretty bad, who has a disco-dance floor, and a globe on their dining room table confused

And I realise that we are getting used to 7 figure prices on here but who pays £2.5m for a boudoir like that hurl
