Candidate for the worst laid-out house on here?

https://www.onthemarket.com/details/2271373/

Appears the upper floors of the 2 wings don't connect. Then again, what do you want for £24 million?!
Because the central area is double height.
No the space in the middle is just an open air 'courtyard' - though looks more like a (white collar) prison yard to my eyes.

The two 'wings' of the house (ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor) are only connected by the underground space where the pool is.

Would be amazed if someone bought it because they actually like it. Surely only someone who has a lot of cash they can't keep in their country of origin and need a London property to chuck it into.

I liked this, a lot at first. Then realised it might get a trifle noisy!

Kitchen is old fashioned, but everything else is just so.

Wow thats close

Wondering how busy it is though in reality
Is it a case of a few flights in daylight hours or are they continuous overnight too?

You know they don't know what to do with all the space when they have a snooker room and a pool room. biggrin

Staithes is a lovely little seaside town within a stones throw from Whitby. Although far from house pawn, it does look rather nice inside with a price that most PH'ers could scrape together forbiggrin...

It looks very nice and much more appealing than some of the places posted, new photos added since last week too which makes it look even better, however to answer the question, looks like there could be a few more flights than I expected..

BTW for anyone that's not looked, the house is inside the grey circle on the centre of the map at the bottom of the page in the link.

Apologies if this is a re-post...Have we had this?

http://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/details/3825...

I'd have to re-do the master-suite-bed-bath-bog-combo & it could do with a garage/barn/toyshop to be fully PH compliant, but nicely done, imo.

The location is nice, the house is soulless.

We looked at houses next to Lyneham, Brize and Fairford. Aircraft noise was one of the things we wanted to see and hear. Fairford was dead but didn't like the house. Brize was a plane in or out every 10 mins whilst we were there and Lyneham was a few a day. We bought the one next to Lyneham and haven't really had any issues. Of course all the hercules squadrons have moved from Lyneham to Brize but we do miss seeing them. It will also depend on what aircraft they are. The Hercs were really very quiet for how large they are. Double rotor helicopters are a hideous noise.

I dare say you would get used to whatever noise you got but it wouldn't be that quiet!

Tow fields down from a sewage farm too, bet the smell is lovely when the wind is in the right direction.

I'm not a massive fan of the interior colour scheme but an ex of mine lived next to here, lovely place. Close enough to Glasgow but feels like the country.

The last thing you'd want, if looking for such a place, is neighbours 20 feet away.

I can't believe it's under offer at c£1mil.
Give it a few years after they get their independence and it'll be a £200k house...!
