We've had a chap pestering to buy our house in Grassington (Yorkshire Dales) for some time, it's a huge old place with 12 acres, too much up keep now our 3 boys have moved out.
So, we stumbled across this place about 20 miles away west of Ripon. it needs a bit of updating, a kitchen etc but what a lovely spot ! Anybody here in the nearby area ?

I will sort a few out, it's of a similar value to the Ripon house but a traditional Dales farmhouse, there's always a job to do and the land is of little use to us since the Mrs stopped riding following an accident. If the man puts his money where his mouth is I will be bidding on the above.

there's been quite a lot in the press of late about really big mansions being built around Formby, and those are the type of prices mentioned, so it probably isn't a mistake. It amazes me, having grown up in southport (just down the road) and knowing full well what a rough place formby centre is, and how likely you are to get home invaded by organised scousers with weaponry. For some reason the prices in southport are a fraction of these.

That one actually annoys me in its utter banality. And then, asking 12.5million quid made me laugh like a drain.

I'm Richmond way but grew up in the area, parents are still near Ripon. Nice house and a nice area.
