Nope. It was a genuine question. I'll look on Google. laugh

ETA: Oh an actress but I'm none the wiser why pic 6 would be like her room. Keep vampires out?
I should perhaps have put Vanessa Ives (her character in Penny Dreadful), scary crucifix room and she is being chased by Vampires.
I'd have been none the wiser but I've since discovered she was Vesper in Casino Royale film. smile

Would I buy it - not at anything close to that price and it's only a few miles from me.
There's another that will never sell.

I've nothing against modern architecture (although modern is now 50 years old!) but that doesn't do it for me. Just the open plan kitchen, eating, living area and a load of bedrooms in a corridor is not my idea of a well designed house. I'm all for a kitchen/breakfast rooms but I also expect a formal dining room for when I want to shut out the cooking smells and I expect the lounge to be super comfortable for lounging in - not something that resembles an upmarket 1960s golf club changing room with that all surrounding teak bench! That and... no garage - now that's rubbish!

I presumed you parked under the house at the front.

It was more that I liked it in general terms rather than would move in as is - the listing would deter me.

I presume it's accessed from the Kenilworth Road - one of the best in the area.

Personally I'd be surprised if it sold for £850k, £1M+ buys a lot around here (large 4+ bed with several acres, stables etc)

It's too long. Looks like a converted mill.
its not the whole house, its a terrace of houses. £3m gets you one of the, i think, four.
That makes sense. The terrace still looks like a converted mill.

2 houses. The one on the right is the one for sale.

This (the Stepney house) will be very interesting to follow. Finding someone who wants to live there and like that will be like searching for the proverbial needle in a very large haystack.

On the other hand to "Do it up" would destroy the character and from what I can see not add much value.

Sadly, I can see it being divided into flats after the viewings fail to produce offers.
As you've said, it'll be difficult to find someone who wants to live there, and live in a house decorated like that, however, it'll be infinitely harder to find someone who matches those two criteria and has the means to spend c£3mil doing so.

Not sure if I like it though. Super modern inside, which doesn't match the outside

Not exactly sympathetic - appears to have had all of the character renovated out.

I agree. You've summed it up nicely actually

Got to disagree.

It's not all exposed beams and history but I like the contrast; the exterior is in keeping with the locality and traditional materials while the inside is clean and modern while avoiding the tasteless footballers-wives-modern that would make me want to set it on fire.

Nice looking property. Think I'd want to rethink the kitchen layout though.
