That is gob-smackingly beautiful.

I wonder what the price is.

It was a comment upon Flashmans findings, post various london locals speculation regarding the pricing of said property, on a an open thread, about property. Context enough? Shall I await your formal invitation to comment upon anything further, regarding anything, at all? Or should we just nicely move along?

I never understand the argument for arguments sake on pistonheads sometimes, I can only assume wires get crossed in the written word and lack of emotion.

Slap.

Charlie.
Don't worry Gibbon, I knew what you meant. wink

I really like it, but not the location so much.

I'd be much happier with a private island on a freshwater lake a bit further up in New England. If I had the $10m to buy it, I don't expect I'd be too bothered about how easy it is to get to Greenwich or New York. However it will be a nice place for a Hedgie of some description.

Standedge Road, Dobcross

Lovely area and a surprising interior. The roar it is on is a bit busy though but that is relative

I thought that area would be cheaper.

I haven't seen the steel rope solution before - fine in a cheaper home but seems a bit of a bodge in this price range.

Finally got to view this place today.....

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Not too fussed about the listing, and it is tastefully converted. However the agent could not answer a very important question so any further action will depend on any response in the next few days.

Basically I want to know what is between the annex kitchen and the garage on the ground floor. I don't want a separate annex and am thinking if I can join the two up, I can move the entrance to the ground floor into that annex kitchen, create another bedroom from the garage (it really is not suitable as a garage anyway) then convert the two rooms on the second floor into one master suite. Knock the annex bedrooms and lounge into two bedrooms with access to their balcony, and use the entrance balcony as a evening sun trap! Then maybe take out the bathroom near the kitchen and just have it as a dining area.

A lot to think about and I am assuming the grade 2 listing will allow all that. It can be done without changes to the exterior except for the new entrance but that would not be visible anyway.

I am looking forward to the report back from the agents.

The Mrs liked it.... She is petrified of heights but was just ok on the top balcony!!
