As I can see a Red C for Congestion Zone this must be London so I'm oot! If it had been Bath that would have been more desirable. wink

This one seems remarkable value. Nice house, slightly odd layout, big garden with a nice view and a huge PH garage. What's not to like. It can't be that grim up north surely?
It seems cheap in comparison to a lot of houses in here. It's not grim in this location. I suppose the only thing you could say is there really isn't much around big town wise for miles. Bawtry is closest. There ain't a lot to do unless you like walking or going to the pub I suppose.

For me that's a benefit it's a great area.

The one that interests me is the classic behind the Ferrari, has a Jaguar style grill but is clearly not a Jag. Anyone know what it is? My guess is Delahay but I'm struggling to find an exact match on Google.
Bensport La Sarthe? http://bensportltd.co.uk/la-sarthe/ with an extra set of driving lights...closest I could find

Next bit of property porn for me, currently knocked down to be reseructed in the form of 76 nice flats

That development hasn't gone down well with the locals!

Yes, and it's a Grade I listed John Nash design as well. They are rebuilding it in a similar, near-identical facade but it's a huge project being built at a time when there's very little demand for £1 - £15 million apartments in prime central London.

I think the big concern is for the elderly people who live behind the building, who will have years of disruption.

It's not actually John Nash, it's a pastiche that was built in the 60's after it was bombed.

We are putting it back don't worry

Demand through the roof.

I wouldn't say no to this, though the garage would need enlarging.

I might be off to Berlin next year if my GF changes job. This should do nicely.

Not very homely though is it? Can't imagine coming home from a hard day at the office and snuggling up with Hega to watch Coronation Strasse

True, but the location and the actual house are stunning.

There's a huge demand from outside the UK. Ever present Russians, Chinese and you'd probably be surprised to hear how much prime London property is Italian owned.

I've no doubt there's interest, but there's also an abundance of luxury apartments in the pipeline, whether it's Nine Elms, Mayfair, Marylebone and the market above £1 million is in free fall due to global economic problems, enormous stamp duty, the annual tax on enveloped dwellings and other reasons. People are handing back deposits in Nine Elms and sales in Mayfair are down by (I think) around 60%.

Hope the development works out though. It looks like a great project, I just feel a bit for the elderly residents who live behind and will have to endure a number of years of major building works.

I'd love to know the details of the project. Is the idea to keep the facade but rebuild everything behind it? I've seen that done before.

Here are the plans - http://idoxpa.westminster.gov.uk/online-applicatio...

Fascinating project. A few years back, a high-end developer did Cornwall Terrace, developing everything but keeping the facade.
