Beauchamp Estates, saw him on the TV programme came across as a snobbish wker as he does here - http://www.theresident.co.uk/homes-interiors/gary-... - Had a foreign guy working for him as a personal slave he regularly verbally abused if I remember.

Not quite as it's south of Barnet biggrin

BTW, next door neighbour is David Mason OBE, who single handedly took on Distillers Company in the 60's in relation to thalidomide on behalf of his daughter Louise. If you have some spare time read his story. It's extremely moving.

You definitely could buy 100 acres for less than a million in a lot of places.

Not in Aspen though, probably the most desirable ski resort in North America and people are prepared to pay a hell of a lot to live there.
Thanks for adding that.
Now we know why it's desirable!

I don't think I've ever seen anything quite as 'Footballers Wives' as those massive Oscar statues in the gaudy cinema.

They are particularly horrid and would also annoy the hell out of me, with the light from the TV being reflected off them during screenings.

However, that's just the owners tat, and you really need to look only at the house in these listings.,.. not the stuff they take with them.

I quite like the house. Get rid of some of their arty stuff, and put a few splashes of colour in there. I think it would be a nice gaff to live in. Cant stand old fashioned interiors personally anyway.
No desire to live in the past.

You'd have to have one of those orange wives with inflated tits and lips to add some interest with all that white paint everywhere I guess if you didn't redecorate.

Would love to know who's house it is.

We've had Hobbit houses so it's only fair to have a representation of Rivendell too.

It's up for £20m and you don't think it's been dressed for the photos? I rather suspect that it's very much meant to look that way and the overbearing bling and total lack of taste is what someone will be looking for to impress their equally tasteless friends.

I like the Rivendell place though, could so easily look like total tat but in fact looks like it's been really carefully done clap

The Rivendell place is actually quite nice, but I think the photos of the actual house need to be improved. The place is very private and has a large wall surrounding it for privacy. I've passed it every day, it's right on a main road, but you'd never know it was there from just feet from the wall.

I think more needs to be shown of the house. And yes the gardens look like they've been done to an amazing standard, like what you'd see at a stately home. These types of gardens can look extremely badly done, no matter how much
I've and effort goes into them. These look professional.

Very nice, too - but a LOT of wasted space for the entrance/stairs/landing?
OK, there's still 8k sq ft otherwise, but, well, you know... wink

Obviously about the location and view but for that money the plot is tiny and the house is nice but not $12M nice.
