Working my way through the thread, interesting that all these are now sold STC. They're within 10 miles or so of me, I wouldn't want to live there now but as retirement places there's definitely appeal.http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Great find.Lovely house, outbuildings, grounds etc.
The modern kitchen is a bit crap and some of the decor isn't too my taste, but that wouldn't stop me.
Just the £1.75mil to sort out now...!

Shame I was hoping on a lottery win. The market around here has been depressed for a while but lately houses are shifting. Love it around there.

Pretty awful IMO. Doesn't even have a view of LA which is sort of the whole point of being in the hills. $2,495,000

I thought that was going to be perfection itself until I saw the tower block overlooking the pool area. Far more modest than the rest on this thread but this is the kinda setting I would love to build or renovate a house in, stunning.

Decor is a bit naff, but otherwise not a bad overall package...

I thought that looked like my ideal house until I showed it to my wife, and the first thing she said was "It looks like a toilet".chasingracecars said:

I thought that was lovely until I realised it's only half of that building. Splendid isolation is no good with a neighbour.http://search.savills.com/list#/r/detail/gbperseds...
