I thought that was lovely until I realised it's only half of that building. Splendid isolation is no good with a neighbour.
Took me a couple of minutes but as it's listed as a semi, yet all i can see is one building, i got there in the end... Lol.

Amazed anyone is living in it in that condition, much like the other place posted a few pages back.

Edited to add, or maybe not - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wale...

"It has had several owners since it was sold by the state in 1932, the most recent being Kent Mushrooms which bought it in 2011.
Agents Knight Frank are inviting offers of more than £550,000.
The Grade II-listed fort, located off the Angle peninsula, was once earmarked for a luxury hotel. But it has not been lived in for more than 10 years and has fallen into disrepair."

£550k!

If I was reasonably wealthy it would be mine for simply some ludicrous parties.

Thorne Island does not have many/any mains services, the water supply is rainwater collected from the roof, it did not have mains electricity when last used as a hotel (many years ago) but did at one point, have a telephone line. Until you build a heli-pad it is only accessible by boat. The Van Essen Hotel group who bought it a while back had some grandiose plans for a cable-car to the mainland, but I think they went under and it was then sold to the current owners who don't appear to have done anything with it.
Doing anything with it will really eat money, just getting materials and labour to the site. It's also a bit on the small side if you want it as a base while plotting to take over the world.

I'm guessing that tower acts as a massive heat chimney for the ground floor areas...

Must have stunning views up there though.

Looks great. Maybe a bit isolated and how many/any of the farm buildings go with it? A cattery currently it seems.
I'd be interested to see what it sells for as the scottish system is a bit different to here. Could be 7 figures?

Colorado has some lovely homes ..... this is my favourite

But I also like New York - well, "The Hamptons"

And then there is the West Coast.....

Their value must surely drop after tomorrow! smile

That Colorado property is very nice but way overpriced due to its location, it's probably in the Starwood area. There are a lot of douchebags driving around in G wagens and spoilt rich kids everywhere. Telluride is much nicer than Aspen.
