House in my village - nice, and very reasonably priced for what it is I think...

That's proper nice. Is that a nice area? (I'm sure it is, sounds like it would be). http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Just down the road from me.
I'd love this place, nice big house with a bit of history which isn't ludicrously ostentatious, separate cottage, outbuildings, plenty of space with 24 acres too.

Certainly stands out when you drive past, has somewhat surprisingly looked like that as long as I can remember (10+ years). Always wondered about it.Hardy in keeping with the local aesthetic

Video is a bit shakey but appropriate decoration. On that note I do worry about some of the décor in these US mansions.......

Telluride! Now you're talking. Interior is completely wrong. The design of the structure is very confusing. On one hand you have schallacked hardwood floors, ed walls, a chandelier from the Cabela's home and cabin catalog and then a ton of concrete, artifacts from the Smithsonian and 60's English looking chairs. It is an amazing area, I'd rather have a 2k sq ft cabin without all the over the top crap.
Had a tour of this place at the weekend http://www.netherbyhall.co.uk/ The owner is a car guy who has used PH, although I'm not sure he actively uses the forums. He's looking to organise some motoring events there for 2017 and I'm helping out with that.
As you'll see from the website they are undertaking a full restoration of the house, outbuildings and gardens. I wouldn't like to guess at the amount being spent but I love the fact that they are doing it. From my brief time there it feels like you really need lots of people around for it to feel like a home. They had guests staying and it did bring a nice atmosphere to the place.
