I actually went and saw this house recently on behalf of a client. The current owner had a 911 in the garage too biggrin

I've been in that house a number of times. It is lovely and very well finished.

Someone mentioned the cinema a couple of posts down - I reckon that lot has been in for at least 10 years, maybe 15, ready for an upgrade!

I wouldn't pay that to live there though!

Projector in that room so presumably there is a larger drop down screen. I would have designed the room the other way around, with a bar at the back.

I really don't get this type of cinema room. It's like, we have so much space lets just build some pointless room. I can't think of anything worse than what, 12-15 chairs sitting in some pokey room. It will never be as good as the real think. I can totally get seating for a family but a football team. The space could be used so much better. Bar, sift seating, pool table etc

This used to be my friends parents old place. We used to have huge fun playing around, and scary nights over trying to catch the resident ghost (well we were under 12!).

Now slightly ruined by the house that has been built at the back of it, but at least it has a separate drive way.

The floorplan is magnificent! Bravo.

Bonus points for "own chapel" as well.

I find the fireplace in picture 6 a little creepy. Do not think I would find it a relaxing place to be sitting in front of.

What the hell do you do with your own chapel if you're not a god botherer?

In the village next door to the Elizabethan house I posted above, is this recently restored rectory. This to me, is perfect and all I would ever need (well maybe slightly more garage space).

Wedding venue.

However, I believe that the CofE will object to any application to the local authority that uses an old chapel. That is their monopoly and they guard it jealously.

How about this former mill near Dursley on the edge of the Cotswolds? For approx the price of a terraced house in london.

Nice outside but inside looks like a retirement home.
