Small world, this is actually mine/brothers and happy to do a Pistonhead's deal if anyone is interested!
The beams work well on the upper floors, so far none of the kids have fallen over just a pain if you need to go to the toilet in the night.
Stunning grounds and currently having the garden re-done as this was lacking any design and never felt connected to the house.

So many original features in the house and every time we visit I am amazed by the amount of detail in the original build.
Will be a shame to see it go, we have had allot of good weekends away with friends and family

Beautiful place, thanks for jumping in here!

Bit of a green thumb, any photos of the redesigned garden?

I need a better job.

Cheers guys.
See below the only real image I have of the ceiling, its stunning and one of many features we/planners wanted to keep.

Weekend pad, however the all the kids have too many birthdays every weekend so dont use it as much as we would like hence the sale

Wow.

How long has the restoration taken?

Has the rest of the building has now been restored to similar standards?

Cheers all.
When we purchased the property the 'developer' was looking to cut the chunk into 4 apartments and had made a start cutting through the most decorative wall mosaics I have ever seen and basically butchering the buildings fabric.
The saving grace was a new slate and lead decorative roof had been installed a few years prior, however for years water had lashed through the building.
The council worked with us in the end, as it was either work with us or we will not purchase and as a listed building with bats present the process wasn’t to bad.

We found a main contractor to complete the works, however the welsh work in a slightly different way to us in London so the build took 12 months to complete, which was longer than programme and should of been around 7/8 months.

Below are a few visuals of the garden which is currently being done.
We have gone for a more formal/mature scheme on the garden which will connect the house and garden together, along with some external dining/BBQ space

As a total aside I can't see a main entrance on the floor plan. Surely you do not enter via the plant room or the French windows?

p.s. nice garden plan.

12 months seems pretty reasonable to be to be honest.

New garden looks lovely too. Its overall just great. Would probably be £5-6m round my way!

Seems weirdly cheap at under a million, guess that's from looking at too much stuff that's vastly overpriced due to location.... .

Love the way its been furnished and decorated. Many would have gone for loads of period furniture and decoration, but I couldn't live life in the past like that.

All the en-suites are up their own staircases by the look of it? Interesting solution to ablutions... smile

Do you have access to other shared parts of the house and facilities, or is it what you see, you get...?

Am I missing something with daffydd's fabulous pad? The floor plan doesn't seem to match the building as shown in the external photos.

if you look at the main picture of the house, you will see a section that has a red line around it - that's the bit he owns. One wing basically.

12 Months is far to long...
We do 8000Sq ft basement digs, fit outs, pools, lifts etc in 12 months in central London, so i recon if we had out own crew on site it would of been 6-7 months

The ‘formal’ main access is via the current play room, however we use the kitchen as the main access route at the moment.
Once the garden is completed we will re-dress the current play room to a ‘vestibule’ as this is where the path leads and dressed with the larger Laurel balls.
The rear plant room is another access route, however never really used.
I will upload some shots once the garden has been completed.

It’s a odd one as at near on 7000 sq ft for 1million sounds so cheap compared to London, Manchester etc, but in the local area it’s the allot!
It will work for someone who wants a estate, likes to have the family over or enterain, however doesn’t want the massive up keep of grounds etc.

The dressing is all quite cheap, even though it looks really expensive throguhout.
We managed to source correclty and bought allot of items from previous projects we complete in London, where items were brand new and clients no longer wanted.
The asking price also includes all the furniture if anyone is interested?????

We have access to all the grounds, tennis courts, football pitch as these are all part of the estate, so everyone can use it.
I spend my days in central London and its so nice to get away, leave the doors open and smell some fresh country air

Dare I ask what the service charges are like?

How individual are the different parts? If another wing has a roof issue would it be considered communual, for instance?

Thats absolutely stunning - well done Sir!

I like how its in a shared development too
As a weekend place it must be good to know you have a sense of community and nice next door neighbours in case of any unexpected problems.

Cheers

Harsh. According to one of the videos it is the helicopter from Airwolf.

Which is cool, even if it does not work.

Seven staff for two years! And the cars included.... no mention of them being rented. I think it is rather cool. I could see me living there with my harem!! smile

It's not even the highest house with the best view in the area, here it is being built.

Hold CTRL and R mouse button to rotate around. - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/924+Bel+Air+Rd...

You have to be a bit of an exhibitionist to live there.

Amazing renovation and would be ideal given I don't live far away it would fit the dream house criteria! Somehow I doubt the PH discount would bring it into range 😂 But well done nonetheless a great house!

The whole estate is in sections and from memory its around 30 individual places, however its on aches of land.
We have the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings fabric including walls, roof and downpipes so fingers crossed we have no issues!
