"Cheap" for this thread, but I think this is worth putting forward as it's interesting & in a nice setting:

Which is bigger; the pool in pic 4 or the bath in pic 16?

As you say, nice situation.

This was 2.5M and is utter, utter perfection to me. I absolutely adore it.
Agreed, that one tugs on the heart strings!

Wow, that's superb. The house proportions, are in my opinion, perfect. Large enough so you get the feeling of space every where, so you have enough rooms for everything to go, but without being over the top or a money pit in terms of maintenance, cleaning and so on. The character of the property and the land included just adds another dimension.

Edit: Has it literally just gone to 'Sold STC'?

That is not far from us, but I have never read the listing that far down. I explains why it has been sale for a hell of a long time then.

Whoever buys it will be living here in the near future.

Which is a real shame.

It's also very close to the joys of the M6 - have to say I'd want a bit more peace and quiet for my £2.5m smile

isn't this a material item that should be declared on the property details?

Looking at google maps, the main house looks to have been refurbed and they've started building; which you would assume anyone buying the main house now would have noticed. Note the new fence in the pics.

Shame, badly over-restored and was a decent bit of parkland too.

The pool, at 29 x 10-something, so highly probable you won't need to sit on the plug. Oo er.

Not necessarily. You do have to dictate known planning permissions on the forms after you accept an offer though. Any solicitor would also find it but I doubt anyone would put it on their advert!

The site used to be Royal Mail offices and house was surrounded by ugly commercial buildings.

Suprised it went as a singe residence, would have thought it would be 3-4 apartments. The buyers would have known as the rest of the site has been under construction for a year easily.
