I quite like the look of this - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Not sure if the sunken sofa is the most or least cool thing I've ever seen boxedin

i think it's cool, however not in white. It gets stepped on every time someone gets on or off it.
fk me what's with all the black decor? Looks like a Goth's wet-dream
I can imagine taking a snooze on that-someone walks passed and kicks you in the face. hehe
'Conversation pits' are the in thing apparently.

Probably not up most people's street on here, but I adore funky mid century aesthetics.
A circular swimming pool?! biggrin

I found myself drawn to some of the outside ones. Then I thought about cleaning and swilling them out! Need an extra servant. biggrin

It's a bit marmite, only a couple of miles from me. Some quite interesting places on that road! Shame HS2 will be their new neighbour.

Convenient, no idea of price> It's been up for a while so may take a cheeky offer.

One for the 'things that annoy you beyond reason' thread in the Lounge...websites that open and play music automatically for no good reason!! Lovely house though
Agreed. Lovely house, horrible website though.
I run past this place on one of my running routes. It's been on the market for a few years now though at the price (it was up for £10m) I suspect there are limited buyers. I believe that the owner is a property developer.

I can see the benefit for outdoors, as they can provide a bit of shelter from the wind. I might consider one for my next house in the Caribbean. I like the idea of having them in a pool or a pond too, although that may not work too well in a windy place...

I fear that website might pull me in, I'm looking at 35 Secret Passageways now...

We aren't quite able to afford a half a million pound house yet, but if we were, we'd have to pay over £34k stamp duty alone on that.
(We own a small house up North).
No wonder stuff isn't selling as quick anymore. The new SLDT rules are ridiculous.

What mental case would want the whole front of their house to be glass without it looking over the sea/countryside?

Onto a road is insanity!

I dunno, I like that, no outside space but the house is just big enough and relatively cheap for that area. Obviously a pied a terre rather than a main residence.

not just a road, but an intersection... so people can really have a good look in whilst bored waiting at the lights.

Very pleasant. Live above the garage, let out the house. Just need to get rid of the wife and kids!

It is on a Lido Isle in a very quiet location, but it is silly and no doubt this is it's usual appearance - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Newport+Beach,...

Actually, change the time images, on every one, Sep 2015, Apr 2015, Oct 2014, Apr 2012 and May 2011 the blinds are all closed hehe

I'd sit in there in my designer gear smiling contentedly back at them, unless I wasn't in of course, in which case I wouldn't mind them admiring my impeccable taste.
