It's not often I'd put the word 'only' in front of £1,200,000. But...

£2M in the Scottish Borders, 44 acres and trout fishing on the River Tweed less than 40 miles from Edinburgh with a rail link 3 miles away. A lot of bang for your buck!!

A lot of money has been spent here and given Scotland, it's going to be well over 2m. Not saying expensive but the running costs would make you twitch.http://www.knightfrank.co.uk/properties/residentia...

4 bedrooms, newly built terrace houses in Victoria Park (East London, Bow) - Only one of the houses in the picture below-. No car parking, and quite crowded side of the river? Price tag 1 million GBP
http://www.zoopla.co.uk/new-homes/details/43728708...
So any PH'ers would be willing to pay 1 million without a car-park?

Ideal for families with young children, young children just love the water. Look there's a happy one in that image with it's smiling mother to show what a utopia of child friendliness it is.http://www.zoopla.co.uk/new-homes/details/43728708...

What's bad about this is not so much the price (it is London, and canalside, and pretty central - people want that). It;s the utterly lazy design. These look like nasty 80's brick built stuff, not £1m, well-designed homes.http://www.zoopla.co.uk/new-homes/details/43728708...

Council planners clearly chucked a bung by someone. Shameful that this is teh quality of new build in our capital, at those advertised prices.

Maybe they're trying to channel the aesthetic of similarly lazily designed canal-side houses in Wapping which have worn the test of time rather poorly.Council planners clearly chucked a bung by someone. Shameful that this is teh quality of new build in our capital, at those advertised prices.

Yup, it's "delayed future" and brick-biscuit-ism in charge I'm afraid. I always give the examples of Grimshaw's houses (Canal Union Grand-walk) that being built in 80's around Camden. Such bold statements, back than.Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
