Hi,

We have a damaged Karndean tile (glued down) from where a light fitting fell onto the floor.

Has anybody ever lifted and replaced a single tile and any issues,

Regards,

Martyn.

I did one recently.

Replaced a single plank.

Cut the centre with a stanley knife then used a chisel to lift the plank working toward the edges then stuck the new one down - no problem

Hats off to you for actually managing to damage the stuff.

If you get a hot air gun, or a hairdryer and warm the tile up, you can use a hook blade in the corner of the damaged tile to lift it up and either by hand, or with a pair of grips peel the tile up off the adhesive. With a wallpaper scraper remove old adhesive, put fresh down, push new tile into place and put something heavy on it for a while.
