Any PH'ers supply/fit these?

Looking to get a single split system inverter type A/C installed for my bedroom.

I know for legal reasons I can't do the gassing of the system but is it something I can fit myself and get someone in to gas it up and test it?

Looking at Mitsubishi units at the moment but always open to suggestions!

Haven't fitted an air con for about five years but you'll need a imperial sized flare block, and some pipe benders. You could probably fit most of it. Hang the unit, drill the holes, run the wiring, if you know what your doing, and a lot of units used to come pre charged with refrigerant for a set distance, so no refrigerant was needed unless it exceeded that distance. Usually 15m or so. But you need to pressure test and vacuum the system before you get to that stage. Also you need to lag both suction and expansion line with armour flex and tape the joints with armour flew tape. I'd say most air con companies wouldn't be interested in coming to commission it if you done it yourself. Probably best to get a small company to come and fit it all as they tend to be the cheapest option.

I think my firm charges about £1500 for a small system.

Usually toshiba, supply, installed, commisioned and warranted.

As already said the systems that we commision for other people (normally thrown in DIY jobs are a mess and are normally a pain to put right. So I would reccomend leaving it to a small firm to do the work.

You could supply the gear yourself but then, a firm wouldnt warrant the gear.
