Cleaning stone window sils

I'm not sure what my sills are made out of, sandstone I think, the house is about 12 years old and is your typical new build type. They look a bit like this sort of thing.



They are quite dirty and black looking though, whats the best way of making them look new again? I understand you shouldn't use acid on them.

They're probably reconstituted stone. I'd start with a scrubbing brush and some soapy water.

If that doesn't bring them up I'm sure Lithofin will have a suitable product.

My whole house is made of that stuff & the Karcher works a treat. Wear goggles though as you'll get a lot of crap in your eyes!

Don't need any cleaning fluids - just the water.

The jet wash worked a treat thanks, not brand spankingly new by any means but more than acceptable for the age of the building. Couldn't believe how dirty they was compared to clean ones.
