Honestly all this bullst about pollutants, a trickle vent isn't going to fix that! My old (new) house had trickle vents in all of the windows (as well as night latches) AND bloody great vents about 25cm x 10cm in each room. All the larger vents did was make the place freezing, spoke to the site manager, on the next phase they had decided they weren't required, they were then blocked up. The trickle vents did nothing but let dust in. If you want air flow open a bloody window or stick them on night latches for a while.
The way are some are talking on here we should all be dead from oxygen starvation in our "sealed" homes.
