As well as items dotted around the garden, old windows in the shed and to top it off the Duck run is literally how the ducks lived in it, not cleaned out at all.

Waiting for the solicitor to get back to us about next move.

Im waiting on a clearance quote as i have enough to deal with and shouldnt be clearing all there Cr**. All i want to do is get the garage sorted so the Radical doesnt stay in storage any longer. I knew the base was past saving but the plan is to house the Radical there temp until the new garage is built.

you have already done the right thing by speaking with your Solicitor, I expect forwarding the pictures you have taken will endorse his conversation to the sellers solicitor.
Whether you get compensated is another thing, but that is a shocking way to leave things for you to have to deal with. . .have you checked the loft of the house yet ??

Thankfully there is no loft. Bungalow converted so no loft space. Yes have spoken with a few neighbours, most haven't spoken to the old owner for a few years since he applied for planning to build a 2 bed bungalow in the garden, not really room for it so 4 closest neighbours opposed it.

So much for vacant possession. I think you're entitled to have someone come and remove it but it may be quicker/less risk if you just hire a large skip and throw everything in yourself. Don't let it get you down.

Incidentially I believe they only need to leave one light bulb! Obviously most will leave the all!

Our vendor went round and changed all the light fittings to a pendant and bulb, and took all the curtain rails, never sure whats gained by this as the chances are they won't fit in the new house!

That's pretty bad.

We moved into our house the former owners moved out 6 hours late, left a double garage full of crap, a loft full of crap, cupboards full of crap and a garden literally full of piles of stinking crap thanks to their 3 dogs that they had also decided to not clear.

Disgusting pigs.

the bulbs were there, just blown. They had agreed in the contract to removing the light in the lounge and did have that replaced with a rose/bulb. most curtain rails were being removed, apart from bedroom 2/3 in the contract, opps another plus for us. they removed them all.

Thankfully, apart from the odd plant inside the house its in very good condition considering the garage. Wifey has been busy cleaning everything tho.

Why are you moaning about getting free stuff ?

I see a Workmate bench in there and at least £4 in scrap metal.

Think of it as "additional value"

wink

Because all that free stuff is Cra*.

Workmate is broken (and i already have my own) £4.00 in scrap? would use more fuel/energy than that. tongue out

Do you want a wheel barrow or two of duck Sh**? wink

Or maybe some old window frames? a broken trampoline (small 2ft one), some broken plastic garden chairs just to name a few items. might push the scrap items to the front of the garden and hopefully the local scrap dealer will find them biggrin

Ours did too! They even took mirrors from bathrooms. And they have moved into new build. Strange people.

OP, I'd imagine getting skip and dumping all that rubbish is going to be less hassle. But can fully understand that you'd be pissed off.

Looks similar to out house when we moved in.

The garden was so overgrown it was like a journey of discovery - we found an old oven, an aluminum door (which got recycled into my back door), an industrial dishwasher, a canoe plus numerous lengths of guttering/wood etc.

The loft contained hundreds of books, a telescope, set of catering-sized saucepans, and a collection of "gentlemans" videos from the 1980s

When we moved into our current house the loft was full of crap. It was a small bungalow with a huge loft so we were expecting to store most of our moving boxes up there on day 1. The old owners had moved into a house in the next street so I asked them to clear it, they refused. As I still had the moving van I ended up loading it as best I could then taking it all to the tip.

On the flip side I sold a flat a few years ago buy auction. The flat was some distance away and managed by an agent, so I'd not seen it prior to sale.

The buyers solicitor wanted to hold back 1k of the purchase price as apparently it needed clearing. Auction means what you see is what you get so even if it was full to the brim, that is how it was sold.

My agent went back to the flat and took a load of photos for me. The 1k worth of clearance appeared to be a couple of cups in the kitchen, and coffee table + ashtray in the living room!

This happened to us, house full of furniture, cost £140 to remove it on the day as we were moving in within hours and the house was filthy so needed a clean before that too.

Solicitor said it was totally clean cut, simple small claims court but I haven't got the energy to try and recover the costs as there is a small small chance the small claims process could introduce costs if she took representation.

Thats nothing

We bought a house on a decent sized plot and along the back of the garage there was a mound of earth.

We were told it was all top soil with loads of weeds growing out of it

thought nothing more of it

Moved in

did a wee bit of digging and discovered the top soil had a bits a pieces sticking out of it

Oh no probs

Hired a 14 ton digger and a couple of dump trucks and over a weekend we moved the pile into a nearboy disused quarry

we found the following

an old barbecue
a cooker
a sofa
a book case
3 bikes
2 lawnmowers
4 old radiators
7 copper hot water clyinders
a huge pile of copper pipe
an indutrial sized accumlator
a flattened house
and a static caravan

all in roughly 1400 tons of soil, rubble, junk and £700 worth of scrap copper

When we moved into our first house the vendors left various bits of furniture, a pile if used nappies in the garden and a crash damaged Micra in the garage. rolleyes A swift letter from our solicitor sorted it out.

I bought a house once and they must of spent ages moving all their random crapninto the loft that was dotted arou d the house into the loft, was odd as I'd imagine it would of been easier to take to the tip

I'd had enough of solicitors so couldn't be bothered, was about 4 406 estate and trailer loads, so I just got on.

I'd be tempted to bill them for REMOVAL and when they agree dump icon their new drive
