anyone heard of these guys, looking at one of the kids play houses for the back garden and they looked reasonable pricewise and good quality.

We were looking at log cabins last year and went to the Dunster house show site in Shorpe to take a look. Whilst their cabins are well priced I wasn't overwhelmed with the quality. As an example in a 44mm cabin the corner section between two windows had a lot of movement as the tongue and groove sections were a very loose fit.

In the end we purchased a more expensive, but much higher quality cabin from elsewhere, the finish is much better than what i saw at their show site, even though I assembled it myself.

Obviously their play houses etc are not log cabins, but I expect they are built to a price/quality and you may find better elsewhere.

We have had a Dunster House log cabin which is now 7 years old. Was easy to build but time consuming. Tongue and groove was a good tight fit and needed a good whack to seat the long sections. 5m x 5m with verandah.Paid extra for double glazing and extra insulation. Took two of us four days to build 10 hours a day. It was dropped off whilst I was at work and the delivery driver swore alot when he realised he would have to unload it himself. Apparently it took him 2 hours to offload. My wife thought there was about 2 or 3 cabins on the lorry but it was just ours.

We went to their Bedford site last year to look at sheds, we wanted an 8 x 8 shiplap. Quality was OK but no different to another local manufacturer that were half the price. Dunster House were incredibly expensive for no better quality than I found elsewhere for half the price.

We bought one of these climbing frames (well it's really a little house with a slide running off it) for the kids last summer. Good quality and they love it. It's survived the winter pretty well and as it's made out of wood, it doesn't look too tacky sitting in the garden!

Took quite a while to put it together, but well worth it.

I'd go to visit one of their sites if you can, plenty to look around, we went to the Bedford site first too.
Not quite a playhouse but...

Built one three weeks ago for my little lad. It's great and the customer service was spot on too.

Everyone who has seen it so far has remarked how solid it feels. Timber's guaranteed for 10yrs.

Price wise they were middle of the road. Not the cheapest but nowhere near the most expensive.

Very pleased with it and would recommend.
