It doesn't have to cost lots - the actual decoration & furnishing part of mine was under a grand - a lick of paint, new carpet & curtains and some ikea furniture, it the sofas and lamps were kept.

ETA - It's a terraced house in Coventry, so it isn't the house, it's what you do with it!

I took a look at this thread to gain some decorating ideas.

Now I'm just depressed that everyone lives in a better house than I do : (
laugh ditto. Look forward to more posts, though.

Mine will feature on ITV's 'Nature Nuts' soon... By mistake rather than by design.

That, sir, is a fine pad in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Very envious.

I also really like this.
I've not seen many interiors commit as much as you have to the one style and it works well.

Love the old GPlan / Ercol furniture.

I actually arrange restorations for it.
Can't bear seeing it go to fire wood

For my sins I'm a cab maker and love furniture, so between building library and museum furniture I dabble with some of the old styles. Trouble is the house is now full of it, so excuse the cluttered look:
Great work that man.
Seconded!
Add me to the impressed list.

I realise it's just a trick of the light, quite literally, but it doesn't half look like you've had the bezel of the telly gold-plated!
Indeed - even with it switched on it looks like a gold framed TV hehe

Thanks, it changes fairly often as I have a lot of furniture/art in my collection that I like to rotate.

Couple more to update this room (now the sofa has been delivered):

Please ignore the painting tests on the back of the door (we're not keen on any of them) and my socks!

That looks like a highly dangerous sofa. I'd be nodding in seconds.

As am I normally! Very comfortable and good value from sofaworks (Incidentally I was really impressed with them - no hard sale, good communication throughout & delivery drivers were great).

I love your living rooms. Such a contract to mine. I think our next house will be along those lines.

Here is ours at the minute. Really need to change the curtains. Fancy some "dairy milk" style ones like those on the first page.
