Does anyone have any recommendations for companies who could make me 2 pairs of custom sized exterior french doors? Ideally London based.

Thanks for the link. They gave me a ballpark quote of £3k for a single pair of french doors in hardwood. I thought that was a tad excessive even including hardware, frame and fitting.

I paid 5.3k ex vat for two sets of hardwood bi fold. Supplier was North Wales (local to me) but they since supplied a colleague of mine in Somerset with doors.

I see , was that price inclusive of vat and what kind of doors? Ie just single glazed panel per door?

Was the quote for fully glazed doors ?

Just got some custom sized hardwood french doors (each door is approx 6 foot by 3 foot) made in last few weeks.
My carpenter arranged it all but the joiner he uses charged us £750 for both the doors.
The cost was just over doubled when we had it glazed though (each door needed 9 individual glasss panels).
I guess would have been cheaper if we had one single pane of glass in each door then used "stuck on bars" to give same look.

If you are interested I will get the joiners name (based around Chelmsford in Essex).

Thanks for the recommendations. The price referred to below included VAT, double glazing (single large pane per window) and hardware/ironmongery.

Contact details for the Chelmsford based company would be appreciated, thanks.

A sensible quote at last. Meranti wood, 24mm toughened double glazing, german hardware, fitted for £1600 per set. Thanks
