Morning all

I've got a Texecom Excel or Elite (I forget which) on my garage - assortment of opening, impact and PIR sensors plus sirens and soundbombs.
There's a keypad but it's set to a 0s entry delay, and I arm and disarm the alarm by way of a Visonic receiver and keyfob set up as a keyswitch on one of the zones.

The problem is that I am crapping my pants about forgetting to arm the alarm.

Any PH alarm fettlers have any suggestions as to how I can, say, make the alarm set automatically when I, say, close the door (but not unset when I open (only unset on the fob signal))? Or have it auto arm at, say, 11pm regardless?

Ideas?

I reckon if you've got that far you'd have no problem using PiRelay with a Raspberry Pi and an Android Phone to arm the alarm from your phone. Whether there's a better solution I don't know, PiRelay doesn't have a timer function in it, but setting a relay on a timer should be pretty easy.

You could either use a Emizon which is a online mointeting service that allows you to set and unset remotely

Or a time clock like on a boiler set up to a relay that changes state to set the alarm though the main box. I have done this previously and will have a look on Tuesday at my paper work see if I can find a diagram for it.

Alternatively some do have a built in time clock

There is a connection module for the elite I was told so you can do some bits from your phone. Whether you can automate it I'm not sure but you can pay for engineer app and config it etc.
